Gusts of up to 35 knots hammered Weymouth and Portland today at the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta, perfect conditions for Tom Slingsby AUS, who clearly continued his winning straight with four bullets in four races. Johann Wigfors SWE, 2nd, again confirmed his skills as a fresh breeze specialist, and new as 3rd in the rankings, there appears a new name: Rodrigue Cabaz FRA. The top champion Paul Goodison GBR however has not yet really recovered from the difficulties with his home waters. With the day ranks 6 and 16, his is now down on the 21st place only. The weather forecast remains on storms for today, but it should be possible to terminate the qualifications with two other races. The rankings Laser Standard.
Marit Bouwmeester NED was the woman of the day in the Radials class with two race wins, but because of an abandoned race on the first day, she is actually only on the 15th place of the Radial overall rankings. Sari Multala FIN could defend her first place ahead of Sophie de Turckheim FRA and Sarah Steyaert FRA. The daily report.
